We couldn’t be more excited to have Michael Cruse at Dunsmoor on Tuesday, July 23rd. We’ll be diving into 13 (!!!) of his fantastic sparkling and still Cruse Wine Co. wines (maybe some other surprises) alongside a stellar five-course menu created by Brian for the occasion.
Michael is making some of the most compelling, delicious and uniquely Californian wine, specifically through the lens of sparkling wine. With a focused passion in sparkling wines, Michael founded Ultramarine in 2008. In 2013 he founded Cruse Wine Company, with the goal of making fruit-driven wines that are fresh yet still serious. Focusing on sights in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and Contra Counties Michael cares less about making another Pinot Noir or Cabernet. Instead, he’s making single vineyard/single varietal wines using lesser known varieties such as Valdeguié, Saint Laurent and Carignan.
